HOTCAKE 3KNOBがより広い音色を持つようになってリニューアルされました。真空管のような太い歪みで有名なHot Cakeですが、エッジはあまり立たないので、ブルージーなプレイスタイルによく合います。 
シングルコイルと相性はかなり良く、暖かく太いトーンを生み出します。 
ハムでは少々ブーミーで、プレゼンスで調整しても使用ギター、スタイルによっては合わないことがありますが、あまり歪ませず、倍音豊かなトーンを得たい場合には最適です。Driveツマミ1時くらいから強く歪み出し、上げるほどにモサッとして潰れてゆきます。そこまでいかないギリギリを狙うと太さと抜けを維持した良いトーンになるそうです。
